Amazing spot for some much needed peace and quiet. The tipi was decorated beautifully and the wood fired bath under the moonlight was spectacular! We are looking forward to going back already. This place exceeded our expectations more than we could have hoped! This place was a lovely little getaway from the rest of the world - the marshmallows to roast on the fire were a great touch! Positioned on the canal and very private apart from the friendly canal boaters that go passed! The Folly pub which is a nice walk along the canal has a really nice outside area! Wow! What a lovely spot! The tipi and the bath are perfectly located to enjoy the river bank and all its gems. Emily was quick to respond to all questions and made our stay super comfortable in light of current situation. We had an excellent time in the tipi. It was warm and extremely comfortable, despite the torrential rain and heavy winds, thanks to the stove within it (plenty of firewood was kindly provided). The outdoor bath was an absolute joy. Emily was an incredible host, extremely accommodating and keen to give out tips on the local area. We stayed for 3 nights just myself and my girlfriend as a substitute for what was supposed to be two weeks in Turkey! Of course that didn’t happen due to Covid-19. We loved every second of staying at Jesters, we were so lucky with the weather for mid-September, we had breakfast supplied by the owners which we cooked ourself (it was amazing!) and even had their horses as neighbours for the time we were there! We enjoyed a lovely 3 hour walk alongside the Oxford Canal and through fields of sheep on our second day and relaxed by the fire pit in the evenings! My partner took me here as a surprise birthday weekend away and it was so lovely! The views were amazing and it's just the perfect peaceful cosy getaway which everyone needs. Had a lovely romantic weekend away. The site is well thought out, with everything you could need at hand. The whole experience is magical! We spent a weekend sitting by the river in the sunshine, with a good book and watching the boats chug by. Then the evenings chatting around the fire under the starry sky. Then into a stargazing wood fired bath with a glass of wine in hand. A true perfect escape from reality. This was our first glamping trip and has shown us how incredible it is. It was fantastic from start to finish and everything had been thought of, not once did we think of something negative. A wonderful glamping experience whatever the weather! We absolutely loved our time here, it was incredibly tranquil with beautiful scenery. We were super comfortable in our Tipi tent and loved all the amenities, especially the wood fired bath which we bathed in under the stars! Absolutely loved our stay. Was with my partner and 2.5yr old son. So much to keep little Oscar entertained and being able to roam around the farm freely. The animals, tractors, quad bike particularly took his fancy. The outdoor shower was our favourite. We loved being off grid and didn't miss a thing. The slower pace of life was perfect with a child. I only wished we could have stayed longer, or not gone anywhere other than hang on the farm. Absolutely wonderful stay, Emily went out of her way to make us comfortable and the stay special. The breakfast hamper and lamb burgers are a must, so tasty! We also really enjoyed archery and rifles with Ed and the farm tour with Hugh was great. The tent was beautiful and so comfortable. The facilities are lovely. Absolutely magical! Despite the incredibly hot weather, it was just the perfect getaway we could have wished for after 3 lockdowns. Beautiful hut and extra facilities in a lovely location. Some great walks and villages nearby to explore and felt like a real break from reality! Some gorgeous special touches such as hot water bottles and cake from the hosts which made it even more comfortable. We had a wet weekend but the log burner made the hut so cosy and relaxing.
